National Scholarship Portal (NSP) Apply Online

 National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a one-way solution for various scholarship programs offered by the Government of India by various Central Ministries and Government Agencies.  

The application will offer services like scheme study, quality scheme identification, student enrollment, scheme selection, document upload, application submission of application status retrieval.

Application process for newly updated students.

fresh student  The student has to click on the “Student Admission” option on the main page of the National Scholarship Portal.  Complete the application as per system instructions, then click on Save button.  After saving, the student will receive a “Temporary ID”.  The system will instruct the applicant to fill in more information to provide his/her provisional ID: date of birth.  At the end of registration, by clicking on the submit button, a permanent registration ID is generated, which can be used to update the “Application Status”.

Renewal.  Renewal students should apply with their ID ID date of birth which they registered last year.  Students can also use the forgotten application ID to retrieve their ID.  Only students who paid NSP 1.0 scholarship last year will be able to upgrade.

How to know whether the institution/school is registered with NSP

 Schools/Institutions having valid NISE or AISHE code can register with NSP.  To find out whether schools/institutions are registered on the NSP portal, go to and click on “Search Institute/School/IT/” in the upper right corner of the screen.  The following screen will appear.  

Schools/Institutions already registered under NSP can be found under “Registration Search Facility/Schools/ITI with NSP”.

How to get school/institution recovery recovery password  

Option I. (When user ID of the school is known, 3 mobile numbers are updated in the school profile).

Forgot your school/institute password?  The following screen will appear.  Fill User ID Captcha Click on Submit Button, Password will be sent to already registered mobile number.

Option III (when the school/institution key node as well as the cell phone number changes due to change in the key manager of the school/institution) In the above case, the school/institution password recovery option is available for the field.

Level Nodal Officer Login.  On successful login, the District / State Nodal Officer can change the name of the Nodal Officer – send a new password to the mobile number of the newly appointed Nodal Officer of the school / institution using the link on the left.  in their panel, as shown below.  

Now Search School/Institute “Registered Institution/School/IT I NSP”

Panel RHS: Create a list, use the “Reset Password” option to reset the password and send it to the newly assigned node.  There are detailed instructions along with screen shots by clicking on the button “Help >>> Advertisement School / Organization”.  Instructions can be found directly at the following link.

How to add a school/institution having valid DISE or AISHE code

Schools/Institutions having valid DISE or AISHE code not registered with CMTPL may require their District or State Nodal Officer to add them to CCI.  “Advertising Institute/School” link has been made available at district/state level node

Officer Panel.  Finally county or state officials can add an organization to their dashboard using the link

The “Advertising Organization/School” is given on the left side of the board.  .  There are detailed instructions along with screen shots by clicking on the button “Help >>> Advertisement School / Organization”.  The information can be directly accessed from the link given below:  After successful addition, the deceased Head of School/Institution is advised to update their Profile, Program Level-Syllabus.  When applying for the scholarship, the school/institution will not show the students if the curriculum level-courses have not been updated in the school profile. Organization can update its profile on Institute Panel LHS through the link “Edit Profile”. 

The course level syllabus can be updated through the link “Add Update Details”.  By clicking on “Add Update Version” button you will get three options to update Course Level, Course Fee (as shown below).  Above is the screenshot of the organization panel.
